Telephone
No 25 Western Electric CB telephone, similar to Type 15 but set up for
party line working. Two versions are known. . The U.S. version had the bells under
the bottom box as shown. The British version had its bells on the front panel
under the writing slope, and had a longer writing slope to acommodate these. See below. Although the Australian Post Office sourced its phones from Britain where possible, in times of shortage phones were sourced from the United States and other countries.
